Testimonials

“The class was so enjoyable and even though I felt like I had a good base of knowledge, I came away feeling like I still learned so much about food and our bodies. It definitely makes me want to be more aware. The food was delicious and they made me feel like cooking this way is doable!”

Emilee

“Thank you Mike and Marilyn! I have wanted to change my food habits and make healthier choices, and I learned how by attending a Fortheweakest workshop. I learned that legumes and pulses are delicious, highly nutritional—and easy to prepare! It was a fun night of learning with quick easy prep demos and healthy feasting! Marilyn and Mike are a great resource! Highly Recommend.”

Pam

“I attended the classes to gain more information, not to completely change my eating habits. I am so glad I did. I came away with many new tips, ideas, and delicious recipes. My favorite class was the one on healthy "sweet hacks" with the amazing "nice cream" (no-sugar, banana-based frozen soft serve).”

Lorinda

“When Marilyn told us that potatoes are very healthy if you don't add butter or sour cream, I told her, "You can't eat potatoes without them." Well, she made dinner in our home the next night: baked potatoes with freshly cooked lentils and a creamy plant-based herb gravy (and a bunch of steamed broccoli). I was wrong! The food was amazing! And I felt so good after eating this meal. ”

Spencer

“Thank you so much for this course, Marilyn and Mike. I really enjoyed it. I appreciated especially learning about the research and I actually read several of the reference books that you recommended. My favorite part though was the practical knowledge. During classes we made sample meals and tried them. Every week I would try to incorporate some aspect into my home cooking. Thank you. It was wonderful!”

Erin

“Not only do we often cook many of the recipes that Mike and Marylin shared with us, but they have become some of our favorites and go-to staples. They are straightforward and relatively simple. Learning to stock up and utilize dry goods, such as beans and lentils, has been kind to our budget and our stomachs. They are a much more convenient and sanitary source of protein than animal products. We love to make the plant-based gravy. We make it large batches, eat it all week long and freeze the rest! We can honestly tell a difference after each meal. We feel less tried and heavy. I highly recommend their approach to cooking and nutrition.”
